Greetings Everyone,
This is a very moving film about how our world is evolving and becoming – food for thought plus a point of view with solutions.
My favorite part as you might have guessed is their interpretation of addiction – It is not so much that alcohol and drugs are addictive as it is about how we are more/or less susceptable to addiction when-
-in our fetus stage in our Mama’s womb if she was in any type of stress – the film uses examples of women who were pregnant while Hitler was in charge and how many of these babies ended up struggling with use.
-then as we are born – unlike let’s say a baby colt who rapidly learns to walk – we can take 18 months or so to develop our brain to be able to walk – hence our brain continues to develop after we are born – taking in our environment – where we formulate answers to questions like- is my world safe? will I get my needs met? can I trust?
-then we have our memories in the hippocampus – we have memories we can recall and others that we can not- the film uses a child being adopted shortly after birth – although the infant has no recollection of his or her birth mother it may feel the sense of loss that may be difficult to understand even when they have wonderful parents who love them – it’s just a feeling that at times can not be named
Add all of these up (if they were difficult times) according to the film we have a recipe for being more susceptable to alcohol or drug use.
In my Calling In “The One” and Conscious Uncoupling we learned that it can be like a low grade fever – we still function but not at our optimum – getting to the source is vital to our very existence!!! This work is not for the weak but for those who dare face their fears while creating a container of safety – for those I have had the honor to midwife through this work have all reported it is a life full of Freedom!!! I describe it as “Coming Home” to who you were meant to be before all of the poop! Who You Really Are!
